Bruno Deville




Belgian-Swiss film director Bruno Deville graduated from the Ecole cantonale d'art de Lausanne (ECAL). His diploma film La Bouée received the special jury award at the Locarno Film Festival in 2000. He then worked as an assistant director, including casting secondary roles and staging extras. He worked with Alain Tanner, Benoît Mariage, Frédéric Schoendoerffer and Philippe Harel, among others. In 2008, his short film La Boule d'or was selected by many festivals, from Visions du Réel to Clermont-Ferrand. He subsequently started filming the CROM series, which was broadcast in 2012 by RTS and TV5 World. The series received the award “Best Swiss Television Film” for its two main actors. Chubby, a CAB production, is his first feature.
